Aniya, hindi raw gumagana ang National Emergency Hotline na 911 nang ito ay tawagan nila.
Sa Facebook post ni Levi Miscala, nakuryente ang lalaki dahil sa live wire ng Meralco. Tinawag rin nila ang pamunuan ng Barangay sa lugar ngunit hindi rin nila alam kung ano ang dapat gawin.
Mabuti nalang daw at nakahingi ng tulong ang isa sa mga residente sa emergency hotline ng QC DRRM kaya natulungan ang lalaki.
Ani Miscala, 65 minutes umano ang lumipas bago natulungan ang nakuryenteng lalaki.
“A local rescue unit who doesn't know how to rescue. And a rescue hotline that is not working. IMPRESSIVE GOVERNMENT!” sarkastikong sabi ni Miscala.
Narito ang buong post ni Miscala:
"A lineman from Globe was electrocuted by a live wire of Meralco while fixing the internet line. AND IT TOOK 65 MINUTES TO RESCUE HIM. FOR 65 MINUTES, his body was hanging on the electric post.

We called 911, apparently, it's NOT WORKING.

We called the local Baranggay rescue unit but they don't know what to do. They lack the equipment to rescue him and suggested to wait for Meralco. There's no sense of urgency and even had the guts to burn sticks of cigarettes while WAITING. (cc: Brgy. Culiat)

"Tulungan niyo naman ako dito." The man wailed in pain. While another line man asked, "Boss, matagal pa ba?" as he tried to support him.

Luckily, a resident called all emergency hotlines and the QC DRRM unit arrived around 12:18 PM. The incident happened at 11:38 AM and the man was FINALLY rescued around 12:40 PM.
